Producers

Bob Morton and Elaine C Smith formed RPM Arts Ltd over 15years ago. Since that time the company has gone from strength to strength producing a number of successful television and theatrical shows.

It’s work spreads from co producing with Tony Roper the first commercial and massively popular tour of The Steamie in 1990 to a number one national tour of Shirley Valentine. The company has created, produced and toured all of Elaine C Smith’s one woman shows in particular Elaine with Attitude and Hormonally Driven which were subsequently developed and produced by the company for television.

It has also produced 3 highly successful television series’ of Elaine for BBC Scotland. In 2003 RPM Arts was pleased to work with Brenda Cochrane, producing the critically acclaimed tour of Just for Joe which went on to tour Scotland and play to full houses at The King’s Theatre Glasgow. The show was also developed for documentary by the BBC Scotland X-S series.

In spring of 2004 RPM Arts produced and toured commercially the West End show The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband attracting huge audiences throughout Scotland. Most recently the company produced Ben Steiner’s A Limited Run for The Edinburgh Festival,the latter was one of the hits of the fringe and will be on tour in Scotland in the march 2006. The company also plan to tour Jim Cartwright’s TWO

The company are presently developing an Isla Dewar novel Keeping up With Magda and a Denise Mina story Ida Tamson for film.
